Homelessness
With your partner you will describe what you think it  means to be homeless before watching the slide show.
We will agree on our WALTs and WILFs as a group.



Now I will read some different stories and in your group you will discuss what the child's life is like. Each group will select a recorder (to take notes), and a communicator (to communicate the findings).

You will now discuss whether you agree or disagree with the statements in the clip. As a whole class complete the chart. Ask the children the following questions to further their understanding:

• What is homelessness?
• Why do you think people become homeless?
• How would you feel if you lost your home?
